‘The Grinch Serves Christmas’ to pop up at two local pizzerias

For two festive weekends only, Buonasera Del Mar and Bongiorno’s Solana Beach will host “The Grinch Serves Christmas”, a playful pop-up where The Grinch will serve pizza to guests, pose for photo ops and spread holiday cheer in his own unique Grinchy way.

The local pizzerias will be decked out with holiday decor and holiday music will play as The Grinch takes over the pizza oven and serves up their signature New York-style pizzas. The pop-ups will be held at Buonasera Del Mar on Dec. 13-14 and at Bongiorno’s Solana Beach Dec. 20–21.

“We love being part of this community,” said Dan Shwartzblat, owner of Buonasera and Bongiorno’s in a news release. “This event is about bringing people together and celebrating the season – seeing families connect, kids laughing, and everyone slowing down to share a meal and a moment. That’s what it’s all about for us.”
