2,100 walkers fill NTC Park to help fight Alzheimer’s
The San Diego Walk to End Alzheimer’s attracted 2,110 participants among 330 teams on Oct. 4 at NTC Park at Liberty Station in Point Loma, organizers said.
The annual event, offering 1.5- or 3-mile routes, raises money for the nonprofit Alzheimer’s Association, which works to support care and research efforts for Alzheimer’s disease.
This year’s walk has raised more than $420,000 as of Oct. 7.
