2026 Nonprofit Guide: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego
Mission statement
Inspiring and enabling youth to achieve academic success, build good character and responsible citizenship, and make healthy lifestyle choices.
Our 2026 goals
We are launching our prototype Club of the Future- a fun, interactive space designed to help members build skills and prepare for the future. It will include a Makers Space, STEM lab, Exergames and much more. Best practices and lessons learned from the prototype will be shared with other sites in future years as we transform all our sites into the Club of the Future. We remain committed to offering quality programs that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles and character development.
The areas we serve
We operate 22 community-based sites throughout San Diego County. Our service area is over 2,000 square miles from National City to Borrego Springs.

Calling all volunteers
Volunteers can join individually or in groups to support programs, fundraisers, or one-time projects. Opportunities may vary by time and day, and all require a background check. Your time and skills help us make a meaningful impact—thank you for considering volunteering with us!
Donation opportunities
Membership fees cover only a fraction of program costs. In 2024, $465,521 in scholarships were awarded, with 79% of donations funding program services. Support us through donations, matching gifts, giving societies, in-kind services, or planned giving.
