2026 Nonprofit Guide: International Relief Teams
Our mission statement
International Relief Teams’ mission is to improve the lives of people affected by emergencies and poverty around the world by providing life’s most essential resources of food, water, shelter and medicines.
Our 2026 goals
In 2026, International Relief Teams will expand its reach to help more families recover from disaster and strengthen partnerships that deliver food, water and shelter worldwide.
Calling all volunteers
Volunteers are the heart of International Relief Teams. From rebuilding homes after disasters to packing food for families in need, they extend hope where it’s needed most. Join a volunteer team to support people recovering from disaster or poverty. Learn more at irteams.org/volunteer.
The areas we serve
For over 35 years, International Relief Teams has delivered food, water, shelter and medicines to families facing disasters and poverty worldwide. With over 6,020,000 people helped and $770 million in aid delivered.
We also serve our community right here in San Diego through our program Feeding San Diego’s Kids. Since 2012, we’ve delivered nutritious food packs to low-income families through local schools, reaching dense urban neighborhoods in central San Diego.
Donation opportunities
Hope comes in many forms — and so does giving. Every gift makes an impact. Whether through monthly giving, a legacy gift, stock donations or donor-advised funds, your generosity helps families in crisis rebuild their lives. However you give, you’ll bring hope and relief when it’s needed most.
