2026 Nonprofit Guide: Neighborhood Healthcare

by Neighborhood Healthcare

Mission statement

To improve the health and happiness of the communities we serve by providing quality care to all, regardless of situation or circumstance.

Our 2026 goals

We build healthier, happier communities. That’s why we provide quality care to all, regardless of situation or circumstance. Community health is about more than just vaccines and checkups. It’s about giving people the resources they need to live their best lives. At Neighborhood, this is our vision. A community where everyone is healthy and happy. We’re with our patients every step of the way, with the care they need for each life’s chapter. At Neighborhood, we are Better Together.

The areas we serve

As a private, 501(c)3 non-profit community health organization, Neighborhood serves more than 500,000 medical, dental, and behavioral health visits from more than 100,000 people annually throughout El Cajon, Escondido, Fallbrook, Poway, Lakeside, San Marcos, Valley Center, Beaumont, Corona, Hemet, Menifee, Murrieta, Perris, Riverside and Temecula.

Fundraising events

Neighborhood’s annual fundraising gala is one of several ways you can connect with our community to support Neighborhood’s mission. For more information, contact our fundraising department at philanthropy@nhcare.org.

Calling all volunteers

Please consider volunteering as a Neighborhood Philanthropy Ambassador. Ambassadors are advocates in the community who are activated to represent Neighborhood at various events and activities. They are steadfast volunteers whose planning and participation in the annual gala, sponsored events and informational booths bring attention to current priorities and upcoming events. Contact us at philanthropy@nhcare.org today.

Donation opportunities

Neighborhood is committed to expanding core services (Primary Medical Care, Dental Care, Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Prenatal, Pediatrics, Chiropractic Care, Acupuncture, and Podiatry) to help more people throughout San Diego and Riverside counties. Through donor support, Neighborhood’s capital campaign will expand and build health centers to provide quality health care and social services to those living in areas with limited access. Individual donations, our fundraising gala, corporate giving and partner support ensure that Neighborhood expands services to those with no other place to get health care.
