42-year-old man arrested in fatal Miramar shooting
A 42-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting in Miramar where the alleged gunman fired on the victim while he was seated in a vehicle, San Diego police said.
Joseph Hendry was arrested in connection with the death of 57-year-old Markus Vega, who was gunned down Wednesday in the passenger seat of a vehicle in an industrial area near Production Avenue and Carroll Road, police Lt. Chris Tivanian.
Vega was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Immediately after the shooting, the suspect was seen running northbound from the scene. Officers searched the area and a nearby RV that was possibly connected to the gunman, but did not immediately find him.
Information about the relationship between the two men or the events leading up to the shooting was not immediately available.
