Annual tree lighting spreads holiday joy at La Jolla’s La Valencia Hotel
La Valencia Hotel continued in its annual tree-lighting tradition in the La Sala lounge on Dec. 4, with festivities throughout the night.
The event itself began at 4:30 p.m. with a chocolate milk station, musical performances throughout the hotel and in the patio; and a cookie decorating station for children. The main attraction, the tree lighting, followed at around 6 p.m.
The holiday season at La Valencia is not over yet, though.
Other holiday events at the hotel include the “Holiday High Tea” on Fridays through Dec. 19, “Santa’s Storytime Brunch” on Saturdays and Sundays from Dec. 13 to 21 and the annual Hanukkah celebration at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14.
