Arizona couple says ‘goodbye, San Diego’ after seeing tax on beach rental
Our family has been renting vacation homes on Mission Beach for over 20 years. We love it! We pay around $20,000 rent, plus what we spend while here. We were shocked to see that the bill for our reservation for next summer had over $2,260 added for a “Transient Occupancy Tax.” This to supposedly pay for things that regular municipal taxes fund. This is nuts! Goodbye, San Diego!
