Assistance League honors Franco’s Flowers for donations of bouquets for seniors
The Assistance League of Rancho San Dieguito recently honored Franco’s Flowers for supporting the League’s program, “Flowers for You,” which brings flowers, arranged by League volunteers, to senior facilities in the Encinitas area.
For several years Franco’s has been donating unsold flowers to the League as their way of giving back to the community. Franco’s is a family business, which was started 36 years ago by Jose Franco in Encinitas. Today the flower business is run by his sons, Arturo and Fernando, as well as their sisters and nieces. Their flower shop is on the corner of Saxony Road and Leucadia Blvd. –Linda McIntosh, U-T
