Bestselling author Marisa Silver to speak at DMCC Page Turners remote meeting
Marisa Silver, a New York Times-bestselling author, will discuss her latest book, At Last, in a remote meeting hosted by Del Mar Community Connections Page Turners at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23. The discussion is held in partnership with the Del Mar Library. Registration is required. DMCC has reserved a limited number of complimentary copies of the novel for 92014 residents who want to get in on the discussion.
In At Last, two women, formidable and competitive, are thrown into an unwelcome life-long relationship by the marriage of their children. Renowned writer Paul Yoon says the novel “is both a vast and soulfully intimate chronicle of the ties that bind family–and the power of all the decisions one makes across the years–and is quite simply, her best book yet.”
Silver is the author of the novels At Last; The Mysteries; Little Nothing, a New York Times Editor’s Choice; Mary Coin, a New York Times bestseller and winner of the Southern California Independent Bookseller’s Award; The God of War, a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize; and No Direction Home. Her story collections include Alone With You and Babe in Paradise, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and a Los Angeles Times Best Book of the Year. She lives in Los Angeles, according to a news release.
Those interested in attending the discussion will find the registration link atwww.dmcc.cc/PageTurnersRegistration, or call the DMCC office at (858) 792-7565 to receive assistance.
