California should encourage nuclear fission, not nuclear fusion
Re “Should California financially contribute to the nuclear fusion industry?” (Nov. 7): The correct answer is no. Instead, encourage nuclear fission power. The reason is that fission power exists. All of its problems that are purported (and supported by the fossil fuel industry) have been solved either in practice or in principle.
