by News Release

The Canyon Crest Academy Foundation recently announced the appointment of Regina Twomey as its new executive director. Twomey will lead the foundation’s fundraising, community engagement, and strategic initiatives in support of its mission: enriching the experience of every student, every day, according to a news release.

Twomey brings a diverse background in corporate philanthropy, public education governance, and nonprofit leadership. She is known for her collaborative approach and her commitment to building partnerships that create meaningful impact, the news release stated.

In her previous role as sr. public affairs manager at Arizona Public Service in Yuma, Ariz., Twomey worked closely with various nonprofits, municipalities, and community agencies to form partnerships for success. She served on local boards, including nonprofit and school boards, and she has consistently leveraged her skills in fundraising, grant procurement, and volunteerism to uplift underserved communities.

“We are excited to welcome Regina Twomey to the foundation,” said Sandra Sincek, president of the board of directors, in the news release. “Her leadership, experience, and passion for education make her the right person to guide our important work.”

Twomey added in the news release: “I’m honored to join the Canyon Crest Academy Foundation and excited to support the incredible students, staff, and families who make this community so special.”

A native of Yuma, Ariz., Twomey is also a certified yoga instructor and an avid reader. She will be officially introduced to the CCA community at the Parent Welcome Coffee on the first day of school, Tuesday, Aug. 12, in the Administrative Quad, beginning at 8 a.m.
