City leaders indifferent to money they waste with trash bin policies
Re “Deadline arrives for selection of trash bins” (Sept. 30): As of Tuesday, less than half of eligible trash customers have selected the size of the bin they want from the city. Those customers will receive the largest size. But no worries — all customers will have 30 days to change their minds and request another size to be delivered.
What will it cost the city to exchange the bins and what happens to all the returned bins? Aren’t the mayor and City Council concerned about the waste of money?
When the city trucks broke my black bin, I had to pay to get a new one. Now you can just change your mind and get another one for free. The new trash system is adding to the city’s financial woes.
