City’s rollout of new trash program off to poor start
I heard that the city of San Diego’s Environmental Services Department sent out letters in mid-July and was told that we could start contacting the department Aug. 1 if we hadn’t received the letter containing information necessary to downsize our trash can. Still waiting for that letter. Still waiting for a return call to a voicemail message left about the same issue last month. Still waiting for a response to my email sent last week.
And I’m supposed to have confidence that this same department will actually be able to handle all its new responsibilities, allow us to obtain smaller-sized trash bins, bill us correctly and pick up our trash every week? With such a poor rollout and absent any customer service whatsoever, it’s not looking promising.
