Clean Energy Alliance announces six new hires

The Clean Energy Alliance, which has grown to seven member cities and more than 250,000 customers in San Diego County, announced six new staff members in a July 21 news release.

Ana Marie Alarcón, whose most recent position was senior deputy city clerk in Carlsbad, will be the CEA clerk to the board.

Amy Williams, who has more than 10 years of experience working for the city of Solana Beach, will be the CEA’s executive assistant.

Karen Villaseñor, CEA’s new programs analyst, previously worked at marketing and public affairs firm Tripepi Smith.

Tiffany Reynolds, CEA’s new key accounts analyst, worked in utility billing and business licensing for the city of Carlsbad over the past six years.

Sophia Alcaraz, who held multiple roles throughout her time at The Energy Authority, will be the CEA’s energy contracts and compliance analyst.

Wu Yakubu, who will be the CEA’s energy analytics and risk manager, has been an analyst at Shell and electric load research and systems analytics for San Diego Gas & Electric.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these talented professionals to the CEA team,” Clean Energy Alliance CEO Greg Wade said in a news release. “Each brings unique expertise and a strong commitment to public service and sustainability. As we continue to grow and expand our offerings, their contributions will be critical to ensuring we meet the needs of our customers and our communities.”

The news release added, “The new staff will help advance CEA’s operational capabilities, enhance customer service and key account management, develop and analyze new energy programs and ensure regulatory compliance as the agency continues to lead in clean energy innovation across North San Diego County.”
