Construction worker killed in worksite accident identified
Authorities have publicly identified a construction worker who was killed this past week in an accident at a Black Mountain Ranch-area work site.
Francisco Rodriguez Nunez, 23, was fatally injured Wednesday when he stepped off a concrete truck and was struck by a trailer being towed through a construction zone on Sunny Summit Drive near Old Course Road, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Paramedics took Nunez to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he was pronounced dead later in the day, the county agency reported.
