Did ICE agent need to shoot driver in the head?
Re “Tensions mount over probe into shooting by ICE officer” (Jan. 8): If you are the experienced law enforcement person training ICE officers, why wouldn’t you train them to shoot out the tires of a car they want to stop, rather than shoot the driver in the head? Is there a place for “do unto others” in ICE training? As in — what if the driver were your mother, father, son or daughter?
If we Americans didn’t know we and the rest of the world were in trouble before, now there is no doubt. Trump has let us know the only authority over him is his own “morality,” and we know what that is. It’s going to take all of us to keep our country and the world safe for democracy.
