Driver and passenger injured in crash in Point Loma; DUI suspected
Two people were seriously injured when their vehicle crashed into a concrete wall in Point Loma, authorities said.
Officers responded around 10:10 p.m. Nov. 20 to reports that a 39-year-old woman traveling west in a 2025 Mercedes GLC SUV drove into the wall at Womble Road and Rosecrans Street, according to the San Diego Police Department. Police said driving under the influence of alcohol may have been a factor.
The driver suffered internal injuries and required surgery. Her 36-year-old female passenger suffered a fractured pelvis and right ankle, the department said.
SDPD’s Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
