On Sunday morning, 79-year-old Chong Kil Kim of Valley Center was fatally injured when the SUV he was driving was involved in a multi-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 15 north of Camino Del Norte in Rancho Penasquitos, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
Kim died at the scene of the crash.
Spring Valley resident Abdullah Mohammad Al Husain, 17, was killed about 7:30 p.m. July 28, when the sedan he was driving veered off East Palomar Street in Chula Vista and struck a palm tree, the county agency reported. He succumbed to his injuries before paramedics could take him to a hospital.
