Festive Santa Crawl in Del Mar benefits Junior Lifeguard Program
The Del Mar Santa Crawl will hit the Del Mar Village streets on Wednesday, Dec. 17, a festive event that supports local bars and restaurants and gives back to the Del Mar Lifeguard Association and its Junior Lifeguard Program.
Participants are invited to gear up in their finest Santa Claus-inspired attire and set off on a jolly tour through town that will start and end at Monarch Ocean Pub. The tradition has been going on for more than 20 years, guided by longtime Del Mar local Ernie Hahn. This year’s event is sponsored by Hahn’s Ernie & the Jett Real Estate Group (Pacific Sotheby’s International), Monarch and Cazcanes Tequila.
The crawl begins at 5:30 p.m. at Monarch and Santas will make hourly stops at L’Auberge, Harry’s, En Fuego, Coral and Tamarindo before wrapping up back at Monarch at 9:15 p.m.
The crawl is $75 with all proceeds going to the Del Mar Junior Lifeguard Program, “the future protectors of our treasured coastline.” To register, visit tinyurl.com/2zpwah8n
