Foodie Forecast: Mocktails, a Convoy District food tour, all-day happy hour

El Chingon: College football fans can take 50% off their tab at El Chingon. Guests wearing gear of the team that wins the college football national championship will receive half off their check. El Chingon has a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes such as birria tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and molcajete. Black Rail Kitchen + Bar: Every Tuesday at Black Rail Kitchen + Bar, guests can enjoy happy hour prices all day. Some of the food selections include two blackened shrimp tacos for $10, truffle parmesan fries for $6 and oven-roasted ginger barbecue wings for $10. Annual food tour: The San Diego Chinese Museum and Young Professionals Advisory Committee are hosting their annual food tour in the Convoy District. Ticketed guests will get to visit five restaurants and savor Asian cuisines. Visitors will also hear from business owners and learn the history of certain foods and dishes. Spill the Beans: A new bagel is being prepared at Spill the Beans. Now through Jan. 31, customers can order apple cinnamon bagels with vanilla bean cream cheese. The apple cinnamon bagel comes with diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, lemon juice and is topped with a streusel. The bagel is part of Spill the Beans’ new monthly bagel lineup, where guests can try a new flavor each month. Zen Modern Asian Bistro: Visitors to Zen Modern Asian Bistro can now try new mocktails.
