How could bill’s advocate not expect the flood of lawsuits it triggered?
Re “Suits spur financial crisis for schools, agencies” (Aug. 17): It is disingenuous for former Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez to state, “We didn’t foresee a whole cottage industry of attorneys taking advantage of this to make themselves rich.”
What state has Gonzalez been living in that she couldn’t foresee our state’s formidable trial lawyers circling this legislation like bloodthirsty, swimming carnivores?
