One killed in rollover crash in Vista
A man died early Saturday morning in Vista after the car he was driving rolled over several times, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to a 911 call around 4:20 a.m. from a neighbor near the scene of the accident on South Melrose Drive, between Shadowridge and Longhorn Drives. The driver died at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Investigators said the silver Toyota Avalon appeared to be speeding on South Melrose Drive, struck a light pole and rolled over multiple times. The identity of the driver has not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office crash investigation team is looking into further details of the incident.
