Pacific Ridge School hosts annual ‘Grandparents and Special Friends Day’
Pacific Ridge School recently welcomed over 300 guests to campus for its annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day, a beloved tradition celebrating family, connection, and community, according to a news release.
The program featured lively performances by the school’s competitive dance team and vocalists, along with poetry readings from two ninth-grade students who will compete in San Diego’s Poetry Out Loud Regional Championships in February. Following the program, guests enjoyed lunch and toured the campus with Pacific Ridge student ambassadors known as “Ridge Reps.”
Guests were also invited to two engaging sessions led by upper school administrators, showcasing how Pacific Ridge students are thinking critically, creatively, and compassionately about the world around them: Leveraging AI for Student-Centered Learning: Tools That Empower Human Thinking; and Civic Engagement: Students Building a Better Tomorrow, Together.
Founded in 2007, Pacific Ridge School serves over 650 students as an independent, nonprofit, college preparatory school for grades six through 12. The school’s mission is to prepare students not only for college but also for purposeful lives that positively impact the world, the news release stated.
