Padres minors: Luis Campusano hits 24th homer in El Paso win,
Luis Campusano hit his Padres system-best 24th home run, leading Triple-A El Paso to an 11-9 come-from-behind win at Sacramento on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old catcher served as the DH and went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, a walk and two runs scored. The 24 homers are a career high. He is hitting .330/.437/.609 through 92 games.
Center fielder Tirso Ornelas (.850 OPS) went 2-for-5 with his eighth homer and two RBIs.
Shortstop Clay Dungan (.810 OPS), right fielder Yonathan Perlaza (.908 OPS) and second baseman Nate Mondou (.818 OPS) all also drove in two runs.
Knuckleballer Matt Waldron (6.68 ERA) allowed seven runs on nine hits and a walk in the start. He struck out four.
Right-hander Bryan Hoeing (4.50 ERA) returned from a hamstring injury, allowing a run in two-thirds of an inning.
Right-hander Bradgley Rodriguez (2-0, 2.61 ERA) earned the win despite allowing a run in the eighth.
El Paso is 71-61.

LHP Harry Gustin (0-1, 0.00 ERA) struck out three but allowed an unearned run in 2⅓ innings in the loss. 3B Devin Ortiz (.651 OPS) went 2-for-4. RF Moises Gomez (.670 OPS) went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

W. Michigan 8, TinCaps 5: RHP Ian Koenig (5-8, 5.40 ERA) allowed seven runs in five innings in the loss. C Brendan Durfee (.654 OPS) hit his sixth homer. SS Eguy Rosario (.689 OPS) doubled twice and drove in three runs. 3B Zach Evans (.482 OPS) and CF Kai Roberts (.603 OPS) both had two hits and scored two runs.
LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (56-71)
Inland Empire 3, Storm 2: 2B Dylan Grego (.739 OPS) went 2-for-5 and 1B Carlos Rodriguez (.844 OPS) went 3-for-5 with a run scored. SS Jorge Quintana (.546 OPS) went 1-for-1 with an RBI and two walks. C Ty Harvey, the Padres’ fifth-rounder this year, is 1-for-10 with five strikeouts through his first three games as a pro.
