Pathways to Citizenship hosts annual ‘Party with a Purpose’ to celebrate community, raise support for legal immigration services
On Oct. 5, nonprofit law center Pathways to Citizenship welcomed over 200 supporters, volunteers, clients, and community members to its annual fundraiser, Party with a Purpose, an evening dedicated to empowering immigrant communities and assisting eligible immigrants on the road to U.S. citizenship.
Held at La Valle Coastal Club in Rancho Santa Fe, the festive event featured a steel drum band, tropical bites, silent auction, opportunity drawings, a wine pull, and stories from clients whose lives have been transformed by Pathways’ legal support, according to a news release.
The event raised more than $70,000 to support Pathways’ mission to provide free and low-cost immigration legal services for immigrant families in San Diego. Funds raised will directly support legal clinics, consultations, representation, and educations for immigrants in San Diego County.
“Party with a Purpose is more than a fundraiser, it’s a celebration of resilience, hope, and the American dream,” said Executive Director Sonya Williams in the news release. “Every dollar raised helps local immigrant families stay safe, connected, and empowered to thrive.”
Authorized by the U.S. Department of Justice to practice immigration law in 2016, Pathways to Citizenship has impacted thousands of immigrants from more than 50 countries.
Pathways extends its heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who made this year’s Party with a Purpose a success, the news release stated.
