Pathways to Citizenship to host annual fundraiser ‘Party with a Purpose’

Pathways to Citizenship, a dedicated nonprofit immigration law center serving immigrant families in San Diego County, recently announced its annual fundraiser, Party with a Purpose, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 5, at the La Valle Coastal Club in Rancho Santa Fe.

This special event aims to raise vital funds to support immigration legal services for local families. Attendees can enjoy a lively evening featuring a silent auction, steel drum band, tropical eats and drinks, inspiring client stories, and a sunset on the green, all in a beautiful coastal setting, according to a news release.

Amidst sweeping federal funding cuts and widespread reductions in services, Pathways to Citizenship has expanded its capacity through partnerships with local churches, libraries, community organizations, and an inspiring record number of volunteers. The organization now provides crucial legal consultations and representation to hundreds of qualified immigrant families who would otherwise have limited options for support.

“Now more than ever, local immigrant families need access to reliable legal information and trustworthy representation as they navigate an increasingly complex immigration landscape,” said Sonya Williams, executive director of Pathways to Citizenship, in the news release. “This event is an opportunity for our community to come together and ensure no one is left behind.”

All proceeds from the event will directly support Pathways’ mission to deliver accessible, high-quality legal services and education to immigrant families across San Diego County. The organization welcomes community members, businesses, and supporters to attend, donate items for the silent auction, or become sponsors, the news release stated.
