Paul McCartney adds Santa Barbara concert, one of only two California tour dates
When Paul McCartney announced his 2025 U.S. Got Back fall tour in July, the only California date on the itinerary was his tour-opening Sept. 29 concert at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert. On Monday, the former Beatle and veteran solo star announced another California option for his fans with the addition of a Sept. 26 performance at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
The new show will be the most intimate on his tour, given the bowl’s capacity of just 4,562. By comparison, Acrisure Arena has a capacity of 11,000, while Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas — where McCartney and his band will perform Oct. 4 — has a concert capacity of 72,000 people.
McCartney, 83, has not performed in San Diego since his rousing 2019 show at a sold-out Petco Park.
The ticket prices for McCartney’s Sept. 26 Santa Barbara concert have not yet been announced. But fans can register to buy tickets through 10 p.m. Tuesday at axs.com.
Tickets to the concert will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to fans randomly selected through Fair AXS Registration. No tickets will be sold at the bowl.
