A 77-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on a street in Chula Vista Wednesday.
The man was in the roadway on L Street near Broadway when the eastbound 2014 Toyota Corolla hit him about 6:30 a.m., according to police.
The pedestrian, whose name has been withheld pending family notification, died at the scene, Chula Vista police Officer Carson Tabor said.
Intoxication was not believed to have been a factor, Tabor said.
