Pet of the week: Labrador retriever who is a “social butterfly”

Animal: Zara, 2-year-old Labrador retriever mix, #904410.

Where: In a foster home through San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus, 5500 Gaines St.

Hours: Interested adopters can visit the campuses to adopt from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays or email sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org. All animals available for adoption can be seen at sdhumane.org/adopt/available-pets.

Adoption fee: $110 (50% off the fee during August); includes spay/neuter, one-year license, a microchip and free first vet exam.

Profile: Zara is a social butterfly and enjoys the company of people. She likes to cuddle and take long walks and run around and play. She has a sweet spot for treats.
