Point Loma High prepares for football playoffs after completing 10-0 regular season
The Eastern League champion Point Loma Pointers will take their unbeaten record into a CIF San Diego Section Division I high school football playoff game Friday, Nov. 7, against Mater Dei Catholic of Chula Vista.
The fifth-seeded Pointers, one of only three 10-0 teams in the San Diego Section during the regular season, will host the No. 12 Crusaders (7-3) at 7 p.m.
Point Loma wrapped up the regular schedule Oct. 31 with a 31-7 home victory over St. Augustine. The Pointers won six games by 22 points or more this season, and their suffocating defense held opponents to less than 10 points seven times.
