Poway Community Foundation to announce grant winners on Dec. 2
The Poway Community Foundation will announce its 2025 grant winners on GivingTuesday, Dec. 2 from among 16 finalists.
The foundation will award over $107,000 in its second year of grants to nonprofit organizations with a strong commitment to its three areas of interest: empowering community solutions, children and families, and arts and recreation, said Ginger Couvrette, co-chair of the foundation.
The group’s guidelines require funds to be used in Poway for a specific or defined project.

This year’s grant finalists are: Ride Above Disability, Poway Valley Senior Citizens Corp, Friends of the Poway Library, National Foundation for Autism Research (NFAR), Poway OnStage, Soroptimist International of Poway, Pomerado Elementary School Foundation, Kiwanis and Poway Neighbors Emergency Corps.
Also, Poway Symphony Orchestra, Birthline San Diego, Poway Performing Arts Center, PUSD Community Advisory Committee, Neighborhood Healthcare, Steadfast Foster & Adoptive Services and Community Food Connection
This finalists were honored Nov. 16 at Old Poway Park’s Templar’s Hall. The meet-and-greet allowed all the finalists to talk about their organizations with Poway residents, donors, and local leaders, Couvrette said.
The announcement of the winners will come on GivingTuesday, which was created in 2012 by an independent nonprofit organization that encourages people to give to others through acts of generosity.
