Poway volunteers honored at City in the Country picnic
Volunteers for the Blue Sky Ecological Preserve, Poway Valley Garden Club and Friends of Poway Seniors, among others, were treated to dinner on Aug. 17.
The City Council invited hundreds of guests to the City in the Country Volunteer Appreciation Picnic at Old Poway Park.
Volunteers had a picnic-style dinner, drinks and dessert provided by the Hamburger Factory. Words of appreciation were shared by Mayor Steve Vaus and councilmembers.
