USD (3-4, 1-2) at Davidson (1-6, 0-3)

When: 9 a.m. Saturday

Where: Davidson College Stadium, Davidson, N.C.

Streaming: ESPN+; audio on USDToreros.com

History: USD leads the all-time series, 15-5. The Toreros beat the Wildcats 40-13 last year, scoring 30 points in the second quarter to take a 37-13 halftime lead.

Toreros notes: Picked by coaches to win the Pioneer Football League title, the Toreros have lost their last two PFL games, by five and three points, and now are all but mathematically eliminated from winning the league and advancing to the FCS playoffs. The Toreros are coming off a bye. Dom Nankil and Tyler Voss had shared playing quarterback for three games, but Voss saw all the action in USD’s most recent game, a 19-16 loss to Drake. He was 14 of 28 for 109 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

Wildcats notes:  Twelve of Davidson’s 18 TDs have come via the air. Wide receiver Ivan Hoyt leads the league in touchdown catches (seven) and yards receiving per game (83.3). Luke Durkin (Scripps Ranch High School) has completed 40 of 65 passes for 160 yards and seven TDs with no interceptions, but did not play in Davidson’s 45-0 loss to Drake.
