RFK Jr.’s latest vaccine plan based on bogus comparison
Re “U.S. plans change to childhood vaccine schedule” (Dec. 20): So the Trump administration wants to move away from the strong vaccine recommendations of experts. Denmark is given as an example for the U.S. to emulate, which ignores major differences between the two nations.
The article says, “Denmark has universal prenatal care and strong social services and virtually every pregnant woman in Denmark receives consistent medical attention and testing for serious diseases that can be passed to their babies throughout their pregnancy, including hepatitis B.” It then notes, “About 1 in 4 pregnant patients in the U.S. deliver babies without adequate prenatal care.”
Is the Trump administration willing to offer the additional Danish services? I think not. There will be much harm to many children due to the administration’s support of the ignorance of RFK Jr.
