“The RSF Open continues to grow in stature — not just as a world-class competition, but as a community celebration,” said RSF Tennis Club General Manager and Tournament Director John Chanfreau in a press release. “This year’s field featured future Grand Slam contenders and collegiate standouts, and our local fans got to experience that level of talent right here in Rancho Santa Fe.”

Olivia Gadecki of Australia claimed the singles title after a “gritty” three-set battle over fellow Aussie Emerson Jones on the Sunday of Championship Weekend, 2–6, 6–2, 4–1 (ret.).

Gadecki, 22, is one of Australia’s top rising professional players, winning the 2025 Australian Open mixed doubles championship. In Rancho Santa Fe, she earned her first ITF W40 crown of the season.

According to the press release, the 17-year-old Jones continued to impress at the RSF Open, building on a stellar junior career that has included deep runs at both Wimbledon Junior Championships and the French Open. She shared tips about her powerful playing style with Chanfreau and was also able to visit with one VIP Rancho Santa Fe Open spectator, Rod Laver, the Australian winner of 11 Grand Slam titles and four-time Wimbledon champion.

On the doubles side, Japan’s Himeno Sakatsume and Wakana Sonobe defeated Americans Fiona Crawley and Jaeda Daniel 7–6 (5), 3–6, [10-5] in a “thrilling” championship match. It was the Japanese duo’s first team title in the United States.

In addition to the world-class matches on center court, the RSF Open week included community engagement activities at the Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club like opportunities to play with the tournament players and a Community Happy Hour on Oct. 3 featuring local musician Keni Yarbro, craft beer from Culture Brewing, and bites from Olli Slumeria. The Championship Weekend included a Sponsor Lounge with premium seating and hospitality— STRETCH*D  provided complimentary one-on-one assisted stretches while Lanethix and Sports Collection Jewelry hosted pop-up shops.

“Community connections have always been an important part of the RSF Open. This year, STRETCH*D was a vital part of the tournament’s success, setting the tone as presenting sponsor,” RSF Open Director of Operations Stacey Pennington said in the press release. “Our emphasis on beauty and wellness was another highlight, with the bucket raffle featuring STRETCH*D, LIVV Cardiff, and Bare Organic Tan — an absolute hit among our guests.”
