Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club hosts Heart to Table cooking demonstration with Chef Isabelle Baril
The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club recently welcomed members to a special Heart to Table garden cooking demonstration with Chef Isabelle Baril. Held on Aug. 1 at the private Heart to Table Giving Garden, the event was graciously hosted by RSF Garden Club member Patrice Reynolds who maintains her garden solely for community sharing, according to a news release.
Set among vibrant rows of herbs and vegetables, the event offered a sensory celebration of local, seasonal produce. Baril harvested fresh ingredients directly from the garden and demonstrated how to prepare a variety of dishes. Guests enjoyed tastings of each dish and left inspired by the possibilities of home gardening and fresh, community-centered cooking.
The event was part of the Garden Club’s year-round programming which fosters connection through gardening education, hands-on workshops, speaker events, and social gatherings like coffee in the garden. “It was a beautiful day full of delicious food, friendship, and inspiration,” said one attendee in the news release.
The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club is one of the oldest garden clubs in the United States and will celebrate its centennial in 2026. With a proud philanthropic focus, RSFGC has granted over $1 million to nonprofit organizations supporting horticulture, conservation, and community enrichment in Rancho Santa Fe and the greater San Diego area, the news release stated.
Membership to the RSFGC is open to everyone, and offers a welcoming way to connect with others who share a love of gardening, nature, and community. Events are regularly held at the beautiful and historic Secret Garden in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, as well as at members’ private gardens, and community-focused gardens. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply garden-curious, RSFGC offers something for everyone.
