Competing in the always sizzling fast sweepstakes of the Woodbridge Classic, the Vikings senior placed second with a time of 15 minutes, 41.6 seconds — just 1.6 seconds out of first and the No. 1 Californian to cross the finish line.

Football
Completing 25 of 35 passes for 421 yards and six touchdowns, the senior led the Bucs to a 49-14 victory over Coronado. Seven receivers were targeted by Arnold, who has thrown for 1,704 yards in 2025.

Field hockey
A junior who has verbally committed to Michigan State, Ippolito scored the match’s only goal as the Falcons downed Torrey Pines 1-0 to capture the West Coast Classic Tournament.

Tor Martin

Water polo
Headed to Claremont McKenna, Martin led the Vikings to the America’s Finest City Tournament title. He scored six goals in the final match, a 21-8 victory over Canyon Crest Academy.

Olivia Bryant

Girls volleyball
Bryant collected seven kills in a 23-25, 25-14, 15-11 triumph over Otay Ranch in the championship match of the Scripps Ranch Tournament. She was named tourney MVP.

Football
With the game tied 0-0 and the clock winding down, Valenzuela picked off a pass, racing 95 yards for the win over O’Farrell Charter, allowing the Eagles to ring the home victory bell for the first time in 1,469 days.
