Scene: La Jolla Music Society’s SummerFest Gala

More than 200 classical music enthusiasts gathered last month at the clifftop home of Irwin Jacobs to celebrate La Jolla Music Society’s annual SummerFest chamber music festival and to raise funds for the company’s Artistic and Learning & Engagement programs.

Guests enjoyed appetizers, including a caviar bar and seafood station, on the spacious patio overlooking La Jolla Shores. They then moved to the private concert hall for a special performance by SummerFest musicians, including Alisa Weilerstein, Stefan Jackiw, Vilde Frang, Teng Li, Blake Pouliot, Stephanie Tang, Stephen Waarts, and SummerFest Music Director Inon Barnatan.

Following the concert, guests moved to the poolside patio for a catered dinner, which was followed by dessert and dancing.
