Shelter to Soldier to host 2nd Annual Salute to Paws 5k & Gratitude Festival for Dogs

Shelter to Soldier will hold its 2nd annual Salute to Paws 5K and Gratitude Festival for Dogs on Sunday, Nov. 9, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at Fox Point Farms (1200 Fox Point Farms Lane, Encinitas,92024). This fun-filled event aims to raise funds for Shelter to Soldier’s life-changing programs, which rescue dogs from local shelters and train them to become service animals for post-9/11 veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, and other injuries associated with traumatic service experiences, according to a news release.

Join Shelter to Soldier in its mission of “Saving Lives, Two at a Time,” with a morning of fitness, gratitude, and family fun, with or without your four-legged family members. Registration opens at 8 a.m., followed by an all-levels yoga flow at 8:30 a.m.and 5K kickoff at 9:30 a.m. After you cross the finish line, stay for the Gratitude Festival for Dogs to give your pup a “high paw” and some well-deserved love.

The Salute to Paws 5K & Gratitude Festival is a can’t-miss event for dog lovers, celebrating the beauty and unconditional love they bring to your world.
