Social Service League of La Jolla places a bet on fun at the races
The Social Service League of La Jolla had a “Fun Raising Day” of horse racing at Del Mar racetrack July 20, when the second race of the day was named in its honor.
The Social Service League of La Jolla, incorporated as a nonprofit in 1947, directs all fundraising proceeds toward its mission to help provide affordable housing for low-income senior citizens living at the League House on Olivetas Avenue.
The group’s next general meeting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9. For more information, email Charlotte Perry at cperry7798@aol.com or call 858-213-7798.
