Symphony at Salk puts music and medical research in harmony
La Jolla’s Salk Institute for Biological Studies celebrated 29 years of Symphony at Salk, its premier annual fundraiser, on Aug. 16 with a performance by the San Diego Symphony and Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth.
Guests were treated to a champagne reception and gourmet dinner in the institute’s iconic ocean-view courtyard, followed by a concert under the stars.
Funds raised will help Salk’s medical science research in cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, aging and more.
