Torrey Pines Armenian Club presents Armenia Display at Carmel Valley Library
The Torrey Pines High School Armenian Club has created a display on the country of Armenia, and its culture and history, at the Carmel Valley Public Library. It is on exhibit through the month of September.
The large display in the center of the library features Armenian art and artifacts, books and facts, food and drink, and articles about its history and heritage, according to a news release.
Club President and founder Mari Kradjian was studying with fellow club members at the library last spring and saw other cultures being featured at the library. “I thought, why not have Armenia be represented too,” Mari said in the news release.
The club has more than 30 members, both non-Armenian and Armenian, and meets on campus every other week. Their goal is to raise awareness about Armenian culture and issues and to support Armenian youth and refugees in the U.S. and the homeland.
Over the last two years the club has held fundraisers at Shake Shack in One Paseo to support Armenian refugees (2024) and Armenian students affected by the Pasadena fires (2025). This year the club hopes to follow the same path by raising funds for Armenian causes.
To see the Armenia display, visit the Carmel Valley Branch Library at 3919 Townsgate Drive, Carmel Valley, 92130. For more information on the Torrey Pines Armenian Club, visit them on Instagram at @tparmenianClub or email tparmenianclub@gmail.com.
