UCLA to visit San Diego for 2026 Rady Children’s Invitational

UCLA is among the four teams scheduled to visit San Diego for the 2026 Rady Children’s Invitational.

The Bruins will be joined by Georgetown, Texas and Saint Mary’s during the two-day college basketball tournament held at USD’s Jenny Craig Pavilion, event officials announced Thursday. The games will take place on Nov. 26 and 27, 2026; tip-off times will be announced at a later date.

“The 2026 Rady Children’s Invitational lineup is a total showstopper,” said Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego, which puts on the Rady Children’s Invitational. “San Diego will be buzzing with energy as fans from across the country travel here for the tournament.”

The teams represent four different conferences, and are in many ways emblematic of the changing ways of college basketball. UCLA is in its second season in the Big Ten Conference after its departure led to the implosion of the original Pac-12. Texas plays in the Southeastern Conference, but is coached by a longtime Pac-12 coach, Sean Miller. Saint Mary’s will be in its first season of a Gonzaga-less West Coast Conference, while Georgetown remains part of the Big East, a conference that it helped put on the map.

This year’s Rady Children’s Invitational will take place Nov. 27 and 28, with Florida, Providence, TCU and Wisconsin scheduled to participate. Oklahoma won the first-ever Rady Children’s event in 2023, while Purdue captured the crown last year.
