Author J. Herman Kleiger to speak at DMCC Page Turner remote meeting

Fiction author and psychology expert J. Herman Kleiger will discuss his novel “Whispers” in a remote meeting hosted by Del Mar Community Connections Page Turners at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22. The discussion is held in partnership with the Del Mar branch library. Registration is required. DMCC has reserved a limited number of complimentary copies of the novel for 92014 residents who want to get in on the discussion.

In psychological thriller Whispers, the reader wonders “What if one phone call could change your entire life?” Special Agent Kitts leads the hunt for a serial killer who leaves obscure mathematical formulas and twisted poems of retribution by the bodies. The FBI thinks they’ve figured it out, pointing to Raevyn Nevenmoore, a former gymnastic champion with a history of mania and delusions. But Raevyn hints that her twin brother Finch is involved in the killings. The only problem is, Finch died years earlier. Is Raevyn clinically insane or a clever psychopath? Haunted by her own traumas and hidden scars, Kitts struggles to piece together the clues and separate Raevyn’s madness from an even more troubling reality. Can she silence her own demons long enough to find the killer … and save herself?

Kleiger is a renowned author of three novels and six professional books on the Rorschach test, psychosis, and bipolar disorders. He is a senior psychologist and psychoanalyst based in Maryland, known for his deep understanding of human psychology, according to a news release.
