County resident rips San Diego for treating him ‘like a tourist’

by U T Readers

Re “San Diego approves parking fees for Balboa Park, but delays start date for several months” (Sept. 15): Due to a lot of mismanagement by San Diego city leaders, they once again need to pull more money out of citizens’ pockets. Like many others living in neighboring cities, I spend lots of time and money in San Diego, yet the city treats me like a tourist by giving breaks to its residents but not to county residents.

I’d like to suggest that all of us outside the city, as well as city residents, start avoiding the city’s money-grabbing and instead visit and support all the more user-friendly cities adjacent to San Diego. We’ll all save money, and maybe the city will see the error of its ways — both its mismanagement issues and its parking fee money grab.
