Del Mar Garden Club to host speaker at event open to public

On Monday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m., the Del Mar Garden Club will host Betsy Schulz at the Del Mar Civic Center, 1050 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar. This not-to-be-missed lecture with a Q&A is open to the public, and no tickets are required.

Schulz is a notable public artist, graphic and landscape designer whose work includes public art installations and outdoor garden environments that inspire and educate. Her art is influenced by nature, history, and community. She will speak on “The Nature of Public Art, Landscape, and Community,” exploring the relationship between public art and community, as well as the art of landscape design and gardening.

Schulz will also provide handouts featuring plants that thrive in the local coastal environment and will answer questions about gardens and plants.
