The Peter Sprague Trio to perform free concert at Carmel Valley Library
The Friends of the Carmel Valley Library will present The Peter Sprague Trio on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m. Renowned San Diego guitarist Peter Sprague, joined by Danny Green on piano and Mack Leighton on bass, performs an eclectic set ranging from brisk samba to bebop classics, Americana ballads, and a psychedelic take on The Beatles’ “Day Tripper.” The trio improvises, syncopates, and above all plays with joy, according to a news release.
The concert takes place at the Carmel Valley Library, 3919 Townsgate Drive, Carmel Valley. This one-hour program is free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted to support future cultural events.
