How to watch and listen to Game 1 of Padres’ wild-card series on Tuesday
The San Diego Padres are back in the postseason for the fourth time in six seasons and in back-to-back years for the first time since the 2005 and 2006 Major League Baseball campaigns. The Friars also won 90 games in back-to-back years during the regular season for the first time in franchise history.
The Padres will face the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday in Game 1 of a best-of-three National League Wild-Card Series at Wrigley Field.
Here is a quick rundown on how to watch and listen to Game 1.
Game time: First pitch is set for 12:08 p.m. PDT. Pitcher Nick Pivetta is scheduled to start the game for the Padres. The Cubs are going with Matthew Boyd.
On TV: The Padres and Cubs’ Wild-Card Series will be broadcast on ABC. Calling the Padres and Cubs series are Kevin Brown, Jessica Mendoza and Ben McDonald, with Jesse Rogers reporting from the field. ESPN Deportes will broadcast the games in Spanish.
Radio: The Friar Faithful can listen to all Padres playoff games on the radio via 97.3 The Fan with Jesse Agler and Tony Gwynn Jr. ESPN Radio will also carry the game with Mike Couzens and Chris Burke. In Spanish, XEMO 860 will broadcast the game with Eduardo Ortega and Carlos Hernandez.
Stream: Fans can also stream all MLB Wild Card Series games on the ESPN App.
Watch parties: There is no watch party at Gallagher Square for Game 1, only Games 2 and 3 (if necessary), but fans can watch games at these sports bars and restaurants in San Diego County for Game 1.

- Lefty’s Chicago Pizzeria is hosting a watch party with local jazz radio station 88.3 KSDS. The station promotes a buffet, giveaways and raffle prizes at this watch party.
