Sunglass Hut in Village targeted in separate thefts

The Sunglass Hut store in La Jolla’s Village was targeted three times within a week by “grab and go” thefts recently.

The location at 7931 Girard Ave. was burglarized Oct. 19, 20 and 24 in what San Diego police called unrelated incidents.

“It’s a grab-and-run scenario, [with] the loss being several thousand dollars in sunglasses,” said police Lt. Bryan Brecht.

No one was in custody in connection with the thefts, Brecht said.
